GACC Board of Directors
A new member to the board but very familiar with the centre has my son attended the centre for a couple of years before I joined the board . I have 2 boys both have attended Grand Ave one has graduated and the other is still enrolled . My skills from my professional career with the City of London have given me the tools to guide ,support and lead the administration of goals of Grand Ave Board. Our children have enjoyed their time at Grand Ave and the board gives me the opportunity to give back to the centre .

Being a part of the Grand Ave community for couple of years now, we cannot say enough good things about our experience. The program is wonderful and our children have excelled. There is no better feeling than that of being completely comfortable dropping your children off every day, knowing they are going to have a positive and fun experience.
I hope that in being a member of the Board, I will be able to help and be a part of the success of the centre.
My role at Grand Ave Children's Centre is as a community member who was aligned with the centre thru my professional skills as a Financial Services role. As a parent I understand the pressures and the needs that other parents are experiencing involving their child and so I can give my transparent experiences and options to help guide the centre in decision making and goal setting.
We are very excited to be part of the GACC community. We have our son who joined in September of 2015 , and our daughter who joined in September of 2017. We have been very happy with the support and kindness from the teachers and staff at GACC. Having fun, learning fundamental skills, social interaction with students, faculty and the seniors have been an integral part of our children's’ development, and we couldn’t be happier. I am honoured to be part of the board and look forward to many more years being part of this great community.
I am a mom to 2 Grand Avenue Children’s Centre graduates . I am an engineering graduate and have worked in the environmental sector for most of my career. I am a strong advocate for the Centre, its positive influence and enjoy in contributing to its continued success!
Originally from Chatham-Kent, I attended Lambton College and completed their Early Childhood Education diploma. I joined Grand Avenue Children’s Centre in 1991 as a childcare provider and while working full-time, went back to school to complete my Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care followed by a Diploma in Childcare Administration. In 2007, I joined the administration team as the Assistant Supervisor and in 2010 took over as the Centre Director. I am a member of the following organizations: Child and Youth Network (CYN), CYN’s Literacy Group, Strive, Licensed Child Care Network,Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario (AECEO) ,ONTARIO COALITION FOR BETTER CHILD CARE and the Old South Business Association (OSBA). I love building relationships within the centre and that includes with our Board of Directors, our team of talented child care providers, our children we care for daily and our centre’s families.
